Pongoose Telescopic pole 550+

The TP550+ is the shortest telescopic pole, is 175.0cm long when extended and is ideal for any crag really. If it isn't long enough for your particular crag's bolting you can extend it with a PX550+ extender. It is perfect for travelling abroad with and will fit into a smaller rucksack. This pole is basically designed for projecting and clipping bolt to bolt when you get to the harder sections. It isn't designed to clip several bolts up at the same time. If you need to do this then all you need to do is add a Pongoose Extender.

This is the only pole of the three that is compatible with the Pongoose Extender 550+. The rubber handle can be removed (simply slide it off) from the telescopic pole and the extender can be screwed into the handle end until tight. The handle can then be pushed on to the end of the extender. More than one extender can be added and each additional extender will add approximately 55cm. We don't advise going crazy with the additional extender because obviously the longer the pole is the weaker it becomes.

All poles have an anodised black finish with rubber handle, twist-lock mechanisms and 1/4" UNC thread as standard.
