If you want the reach for high bolts, but also want something more compact and easier to travel with or project with a good choice will be this pole and two extension combo, (with  four silicone coupling bands to keep the poles together securely during travelling and storage).

The PX550+ extenders can be screwed into each other for an additional 55cm on each one.

Once the extender is screwed into the handle end of the telescopic pole and the other extender is screwed into the bottom of that you have the reach of full size clipstick. When it is all put together it will reach vertically approximately  2.82m. Unscrewed they will collapse down to approximately 57cm. 

The whole thing is ideal for adding to your kit for those scary high foreign crags.
